Hi, I\u2019m Sabina\u2026a craftswoman who goes against the flow.
I\u2019m 44 years old, live in the province of Monza, and hold a degree in Marketing, which I thought would be my future.<\/p>\n
Yes, my background is not artistic, but the moment I first touched clay, everything changed… it was love at first sight for this magical and welcoming material that molds and transforms as if it already knows what it wants to become.<\/p>\n
My first encounter with ceramics was in 2008 in Bologna, a city where I lived for a few years after university.
Far from my comfort zone, I wanted to create a world of my own, meet people, and feel less like a stranger in a place I would only call home years later.<\/p>\n
Diving into new experiences seemed like a great starting point, and I had long wanted to learn how to work with the pottery wheel. After some research, I discovered a modeling course right behind my house. No wheel, but at last, I could finally get started!<\/p>\n
I was immediately captured watching the instructor and the more experienced students work with the clay.
It seemed simple, but it took several lessons to learn how to master the texture and timing of this special material.<\/p>\n
During those years, a passion was born that led me, day by day, to let the clay guide me on a new, unconventional path… living differently, filling my days with beauty and color, creating unique and original ceramic pieces.<\/p>\n
A more recent part of my work that makes me particularly happy is the modeling workshops, which I started as a volunteer and later as a ceramist with the Fondazione Lene Thun ETS. The foundation focuses on recreational therapy in various hospitals across Italy.<\/p>\n
For many years, my Sardinian soul led me to spend my summers in Sardinia and to open my Atelier in Villasimius.<\/p>\n

SIMBOLA is my surname, initially chosen almost as a joke to present my project, but it soon became indispensable.<\/p>\n
My logo, now turned into a small boat, originally represented two letters, SA, the beginning of my name, Sabina.<\/p>\n

I only shape by hand and paint with a brush to give each piece unique shades and effects that cannot be replicated.<\/p>\n
